Holistic Nutritional Therapy

Holistic Nutritional Therapy uses an evidence-based approach to health - evaluating the body as a whole interconnected unit by considering the physical, mental and social well-being of an individual. The ultimate goal is to bring the body back into balance. It uses food, lifestyle modifications and supportive supplementation to begin the journey toward optimal health. While these methods cannot be used to diagnose or treat any medical condition, they can be used to support the body’s innate healing processes. This approach requires one to take personal responsibility for their own health.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to addressing various imbalances, and the feeling of un-well. Every person is biochemically different and their body is unique in how it expresses a particular condition and how it responds to support for that condition. Because of this, the therapeutic modifications I recommend are individually formulated. While there may be similarities in recommendations, the overall experience of each person will be very unique.

Food Modifications

I will help you discover which foods are right for your body and which ones may not be. I will help you learn how to choose fresh, wholesome foods and how to prepare them in delicious ways. I will help you learn how to enjoy nourishing your body.

There will be foods strategically included into or excluded from your diet to support your specific needs at each moment along the way. If there comes a point during this process where you find yourself struggling, we will work together to uncover what is holding you back and what will help you overcome it.

Improving health involves more than just WHAT we eat or don’t eat. It also involves HOW and WHERE and WHY we eat or don’t eat. The type of relationship you have with food could be a major contributing factor to how you feel. What are your thoughts? How is your posture? What is your environment like? We will dive in to your eating habits and see how changing them may benefit your body.

Lifestyle modifications

We’ll explore how you spend your time and will set goals to implement meaningful changes where necessary.
